IMO STATE COVID-19 TASKFORCE COMMITTEE TASKS COMMERCIAL DRIVERS ON PASSENGER LIMITS

Imo State Covid-19 Taskforce Committee has urged Bus/Taxi Imo operator to comply with the passenger limits approved by state government to contain spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaking with Darling FM on a phone interview, chairman enforcement subcommittee Dr. KINGSLEY DUNGA called on business owner in the state to enforce the use of wearing face mask by their customer during business hours.

DUNGA stated that the committee will commence her duties tomorrow to checkmate Bus/Taxi Imo operator who flout the order on the limit of passenger.

He also disclosed that the Imo government have established its first COVID-19 testing centre which is geared towards increasing testing capacity for COVID-19 in the state.

Meanwhile recent report by the NCDC showed that 146 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the country, bringing the total number of infections to 4,787.
