Basketball: Lagos State Will Host FIBA World Cup Qualifiers

Lagos State will  host the 2019 FIBA World Cup African qualifiers for the second time according to international Basketball body FIBA.

The D’Tigers of Nigeria quest for a World Cup ticket will see them battle with Mali, Central Africa Republic, Rwanda, Senegal and Cote D I’voire in Group F at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium in Lagos from September 14 to 16, 2018.

The 2019 FIBA World Cup will take place in China of which Five countries from the two groups (E and F) will represent the continent.

the media officer of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), Mr. Afolabi Oni. Confirmed the choice of Lagos state hosting the qualifiers In a statement he issued.

Oni said “the decision was communicated to the NBBF by FIBA Africa Secretary General, Alphonse Bile”.
