INTER-PARTY ADVISORY COUNCIL (IPAC) URGES FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO SPEED UP MINIMUM WAGE IMPLEMENTATION

Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has urged the Federal Government to speed up the implementation of the 30,000 naira minimum wage in order to improve the living condition of workers.

Lagos State Chairman of the council, MALLAM SHAKIRUDEEN, made the call in Lagos, said that Nigerian workers had endured enough hardship owing to the rising cost of living.

OLOFIN, who commended President Muhammadu Buhari for signing the minimum wage bill into law, urged him to give life to the law with dispatch.

According to him, Nigerian workers are making serious sacrifice for the country and they deserve commensurate pay for the sake of equity and fairness.

The IPAC chairman, who urged President Buhari to urgently intervene to get the right adjustments for workers, also called on state governments to begin implementation immediately the template was published.
