NIGERIA LABOUR CONGRESS (NLC)URGES FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO COMMENCE IMPLEMENTATION OF 30,000 NAIRA MINIMUM WAGE BEFORE MAY 1st.

Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has called on the Federal Government to commence the implementation of the new National Minimum Wage for workers in the country before the May Day Celebration.

Acting President of NLC, NAJEEM YASINsaid this in an interview with journalists in Abuja.

He commended the Senate for approving the minimum wage bill of 30,000 naira and called on President MUHAMMADU BUHARI to quickly sign the bill into law.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Governors Forum had proposed 24,000 naira while the Federal Government forwarded 27,000 naira to the National Assembly.
