EHIME MBANO MAN, NWABUOKU, NAMED AG. ACCOUNTANT GENERAL OF THE FEDERATION

The Federal Government has appointed Anamekwe Chukwunyere Nwabuoku to oversee the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF).

The announcement was conveyed in a memo dated May 20, 2022, and signed by the Permanent Secretary (Finance) Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning.

It comes about a week after the arrest on May 16, and subsequent suspension of the Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, on allegations of N80b fraud.

Mr. Nwabuoku, 59, will act as the AGF until the EFCC concludes investigation into allegations against Mr Idris.

Nwabuoku, is a native of Umuezela-Nsu in Ehime Mbano LGA of Imo State. Until his elevation, he was director, inspectorate office of the Accountant-general of the Federation.
