SENATE PRESIDENT CONDEMNS CONTINOUS KILLING OF NIGERIANS IN SOUTH AFRICA.

Senate President AHMAD LAWAN has condemned the continuous killings of Nigerians in South Africa, warning that further attack on Nigerians will no longer be tolerated.

 

He stated this while receiving the South African High Commissioner to Nigeria BOBBY MOROE, whose visit to the Senate President is to unravel the causes of the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians and steps being taken to stop it.

LAWAN expressed concern over the 118 Nigerians that have been lost in different attacks over the years, out of which 13 were by South African Police.

The High Commissioner expressed regret over the killings of Nigerians and extended his country’s condolences to the families of the victims saying that an inquest had been instituted to investigate all cases of xenophobic attacks in the country.
