Samson Siasia: Eyimba can scale through in Morocco- CAFCC

Written by on October 4, 2018

Former Super Eagles player and coach, Samson Siasia has disclosed  that Enyimba International can still qualify for this year CAF Confederation Cup final, in the second leg against Raja Casablanca of Morocco if the team can  adopt a different approach in the return fixture.

He said that the Aba base club should play more of possession football than long balls which saw them bow to the North Africans 1-0 in the first leg of the semifinal of the CAF Confederation cup at the Enyimba International Stadium on Wednesday.

Siasia said “Raja Casablanca came with a game plan with possession of the balls which works for them, when they were moving forward, they do it in unit which makes it difficult for Enyimba players to defend.

“They have known Enyimba style of play, the home team play long balls to the three attackers which makes it easy for Raja Casablanca to keep them offside.

Siasia who was at the stadium for the match is optimistic that  Enyimba can still qualify in the second leg in Morocco.

“If they come here and win, Enyimba can as well do same in their home but must be calm, possess the game, play as a team then look for free kicks close to 18 yard box, hopefully they can convert one or two of those chances and back with victory.”

“They need to go to Morocco with a good game plan and enthusiasm.” He added.
