FC porto defeated Galatasaray who paraded Nigerian forward Henry Onyekuru  1-0  in the UEFA Champions League Group D match on Wednesday

Onyekuru saw 90 minutes of action in the encounter played at the Estadio Do Dragao, Porto.

Chidozie Awaziem was an unused substitute for FC Porto in the game.

Meanwhile Nigeria defender Brian Idowu, made his second Champions League appearance for his Russian club, Locomotiv Moscow who lost 1-0  to Schalke 04 in their Group D encounter at the RZD Arena, Moscow.

At the Wembley Stadium Fc Barcelona bounced back to winning ways after three matches with a convincing victory away to Tottenham hotspurs, with Lionel Messi netting a brace in the 4-2 win.

The 31-year-old has scored 22 goals and 6 assists in 28 games against English teams more than he has against clubs from any other country. He scored 9 against Arsenal, 6 Manchester City, 3 Chelsea,  2 Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs 2goals.

Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Rakitic were also on target, while Harry Kane and Erik Lamela were both on target for Tottenham Hotspur.

In Italy at Naples home ground of Napoli managed by Carlo Ancelotti left it late to record a victory over Liverpool  1-0  at the Stadio San Paolo, Napoli.

Lorenzo Insigne scored the winning goal a minute before regulation time to hand Liverpool their second defeat of the season in all competition.

Meanwhile Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita was taken to hospital after being carried off with a back injury in the encounter.

Keita, who joined from  Leipzig for £48m this summer, was taken off on a stretcher after just 19 minutes.

He received treatment on the pitch in Italy before being substituted.

In France  Paris St-Germain  defeated Red Star Belgrade at the Parc des Princes 6-1, neymar had a hattrick with two of his goals as free kick, it was the  brazilian international second ever Champions League hat-trick, he last did it for Barcelona in their 6-1 group stage home win against Celtic in December 2013, and also became the joint highest scoring Brazilian in Champions League history, level with Kaka on 30 goals.

He has now scored 27 goals for PSG in all competition

Edinson Cavani, Angel di Maria and killian mbappe were also on target while Former Germany international Marko Marin got the Serbian side only goal.
